Mount Cho-Oyu Expedition Via Lukla

Mount Cho-Oyu Expedition Via Lukla

Mount Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world. It is known as one of the easiest mountain to climb among the Eight thousander. Even though it is regarded as easer mountain to climb as it is straightforward peak, its altitude should not be underestimate. A full preparation & a complete fitness is required to climb this mountain.  Mt. Cho-Oyu sits on the both sides of the border of Nepal & Tibet. It is said that cho-oyu means “the goddess of the turquoise”. The south face of Cho-Oyu facing Nepal is quite steep and difficult & rarely climbed. The north side of the mountain, accessed from Tibet is more moderate & there is a relatively safe route to the summit.  At the steep section fixed rope is used for the safety. In the autumn of 1954, an Austrian team made the first ascent via this route. We also include a great treks option for those wanting to experience the beauty & challenge of the Himalaya without requiring any technical climbing skills.
